This full day adventure to Kuranda, located in World Heritage Rainforest. Your experience includes a visit to the award-winning Rainforestation Nature Park, where you can take a tour on a historic World War II Army Duck, as well as cuddle a koala and feed a kangaroo in the Koala & Wildlife Park. Visit the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience including boomerang and spear throwing and traditional Aboriginal dances, and enjoy a tropical lunch. You will enjoy the Kuranda Scenic Railway and the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway as part of your transfers.
Australian Butterfly Sanctuary
Australian Butterfly Sanctuary is the largest butterfly flight aviary and exhibit in Australia.
Home to over 2,000 magnificent tropical butterflies including the striking blue Ulysses and majestic green Cairns Birdwing, the sanctuary is an all-weather experience in the heart of Kuranda.
You'll be enchanted by these elusive wonders of nature as you wander through the aviary's boardwalks and gardens with a picturesque rainforest backdrop.
Our knowledgeable guides will take you through the aviary and our breeding laboratory, detailing a butterfly's life cycle and its behaviour. Be sure to wear something bright and let these beautiful creatures flutter all over you!

Experience the tropical rainforest from a totally unique perspective aboard an amphibious World War II Army Duck or DUKW (colloquially known as Duck).
During this 45 minute rainforest tour, your knowledgeable Duck Captain will identify and explain fascinating plants and wildlife as you pass by before splashing into the lake for a cruise with more wildlife to be seen.
Handfeed the free roaming kangaroos and wallabies in the landscaped gardens, observe the endangered cassowary, see wombats and lace monitors, and view local snakes and other reptiles.
Australia’s Indigenous culture is one of the oldest surviving cultures in the world and Rainforestation Nature Park recognises the importance of preserving and sharing this unique culture
The guide will explain how didgeridoos are made and used in ceremonies, and then reveal the techniques used to play this haunting ancient instrument by imitating the noises of Australian animals
Try the World Famous BBQ Buffet lunch which is inspired by bush tucker flavours and includes tender steaks, BBQ chicken, pork sausages, sweet potatoes with paperbark cooked in traditional Kup-Murri style, vegetarian stir-fries.
