How to get there ● By Car
Oakvale Wildlife Park is located an easy 2 hour drive North of Sydney and 25km North of Newcastle at Salt Ash in beautiful Port Stephens.

Heading North-bound on Nelson Bay Road, turn right onto Oakvale Drive at the Salt Ash round-about.

There is no direct Public Transport from Sydney to Port Stephens. You will need catch a train to Newcastle and change to buses to Oakvale Wildlife Park.

Check-in requirements ● Senior ticket is valid for any passenger over the age of 65 who holds a valid seniors card. ID must be presented upon exchange for admissions.

● Only animal food provided by Oakvale Wildlife Park is permissible for feeding animals. Other foods, such as bread, can cause health complications and will be seized to protect the health and well-being of animals.

2 Overview

Set on 25 acres Oakvale Wildlife Park is 100% Australian owned and operated. At the park you will find an endless menagerie of Australian native, domestic farm and exotic animals such as koalas, kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, goats, sheep, rabbits, alligators and ostriches. Plus many, many more.

Come and spend the day here from Free Roaming Animals you can hand feed, Keeper Talks, Feeding Shows, 2 fenced large shaded playgrounds, complimentary Electric BBQ facilities (8 in total) and onsite cafe for you to enjoy lunch (own expense) in the Tea Room or one of the undercover picnic area's; seating available for up to 230 guests.

Don't forget about the Splash Bay Water Park which is a great way to cool off or have a little fun, open all year round - don't forget your swimmers!!! 

There is always something on throughout the day to keep everyone entertained.

Oakvale Wildlife Park's pathways are well maintained and hard packed allowing easy access for prams, wheelchairs, mobility scooters and walkers. The Tractor Trailer Rides provide a great assistance for less mobile guests to experience all the park has to offer.

Disabled toilets and showers are located on site and there is also a JennSwing in the playground which is a full support swing seat for children with physical disabilities or special needs.

Oakvale Wildlife Park are proud to be Ecotourism certified, ZAA members, and have implemented an environmental management plan as a part of their ongoing commitment to a sustainable future.
